I wonder.....??

In Room 16 and 17 we have been learning about personal safety and hygiene.....we have been wondering why fruit and vegetables are good for us! So we have done lots of "finding out" about our "WONDERINGS". Here  you will see pictures of us sowing some vegetables into little pots. We are asking lots of questions about how do mushrooms, asparagus and other vegetables grow? So we are doing our own planting and we will find out how it happens!

Healthy hedgehogs!!

We are learning about the letter "h" and the sound it makes! Our healthy hedgehogs also tie into our inquiry thinking.......I wonder why fruit and vegetables are healthy for us!! 

INTERESTING IGLOOS,

Today we are learning about he letter sound i. We made igloos using ice cream cones. Frosting, icing and marshmallows. What a great way to learn the sound "I".....tasty work!

Learning about position...

We are learning about position and orientation for maths. Here we are involved in a hands session using the blocks to design a house for our teddy. The children are then asked to position the teddy in different places around their house! Another great hands on way for our children to learn!

VOLCANO. VOLCANO VOLCANO

Here we are in the sandpit making volcanoes. Why are we in the sandpit you might ask? We are learning about letter V and the sound it makes....isn't this a great way for our children to explore, ask questions and have fun while learning at school.
